Fellow Rehabbers -- this is just an FYI to my neighbors and fellow rehabbers (and a bit of a rant on my part, so bear with me). In the last month, three -- count them, three! -- homes that I'm personally affiliated with have had acts of vandalism to them whereby someone breaks in and steals nothing more than the stained glass (note: each of these homes were loaded with copper pipes that they stole none of). While I know this was a common occurrence in the not-so-distant past, it seemed (being in real estate myself and watching these kinds of trends) that this was lessening and that the market for stolen art glass must have tanked as people focused more on stealing copper pipes and AC condensers, etc. However, with 3 homes just within the TGSouth neighborhood alone in the past month and a half having this happen (the most recent last evening/this morning), there must be something up. So, it's a heads up to all of you who may have a home that is vacant with art glass -- BOARD IT UP TO PROTECT IT... and if anyone knows or saw anything last night in the 39xx block of Parker or has any ideas (other than Cherokee and/or eBay) where someone might hauck/post this stuff for sale, please let us know. I sure hope this doesn't become the epidemic that it once was city-wide. This home just lost 5 of its best assets as the home was about to go on the market, and it infurates me. The owners are filing a police report this morning, as did the other owners that this occurred to in the recent past. Be aware and be alert...

Thanks for the ear, and watch out for your vintage art glass!
